SR9009 is usually classified for simplicity as a SARM (Selective Androgen Receptor Modulator), although it is actually a REV-ERB agonist.
REV-ERB is a protein present mainly in adipose tissue, liver, muscle and brain. It affects the circadian rhythm of these tissues, commonly known as the “biological clock”. This rhythm is defined as a series of patterns that occur in our body throughout each day.
SR9009 was created to combat sarcopenia, the body’s age-related destruction of skeletal muscles.
An animal study showed that in addition to increasing muscle mass and strength, stenobolic also affects the circadian rhythm, which intrigued scientists.
In animal studies, SR9009 also improved endurance in mice while reducing anxiety, inflammation and cholesterol levels. The mice that were subjected to the stenobolic stroke for longer were able to concentrate better.
