It is a powerful oral steroid that has never been approved for medical use, but widely used in bodybuilding and other sports. In its structure it is very close to drostanolone but has the complementary c-17 alpha methyl group, a modification that gives this steroid wide oral availability. Alpha-alkylation of C-17 often changes the character of the steroid, but in this particular case this is not the case.
